Redmi K50 series smartphones are set to be officially announced for the Chinese market tomorrow, i.e. on 17th March. Ahead of the launch, the company has been teasing key features of the upcoming phones.
In the latest teaser poster, the company has confirmed that all the models in the Redmi K50 series will come with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) in the rear camera setup. This will help users avoid or reduce shakiness while capturing photos or videos.
The company has revealed some key details so far through teaser posters. It recently confirmed that the Redmi K50 series phone will come packed with a 5,000mAh battery and have support for 120W fast charging to fully charge the phone within 20 minutes.
Prior to that, Redmi has confirmed that the smartphone will feature a display from Samsung with support for 2K screen resolution. It is claimed to have a pixel density of 526ppi and has support for several advanced adjustments.
It has also been confirmed that the Redmi K50 series phones will come with dual stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Double Gold certification. For connectivity, there’s dual-frequency GPS, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, IR blaster, and is said to be the first in the industry to support Bluetooth 5.3.
For those who are unaware, the Chinese company is expected to launch three models in the lineup tomorrow — Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro, and Redmi K50 Pro+. They will come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870, MediaTek Dimensity 8100, and MediaTek Dimensity 9000, respectively. The company has already launched Redmi K50 Gaming Edition which comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.
