OPPO is gearing up to launch the next-generation Reno series smartphones in its home country and now the company has confirmed that the OPPO Reno 8 series smartphones will be officially launched on 23rd May.
It is expected to come powered by a new processor from Qualcomm, which will be officially announced on 20th May. If it turns out to be true, then the smartphone will be the first one to come powered by the new processor.
The OPPO Reno 8 series is expected to have three different models — OPPO Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro, and Reno 8 SE. The specifications of all three models have already leaked online.
OPPO’s Reno 8 Pro will feature a 6.7-inch Full HD+ OLED display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max processor and pack a 4,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging. It is expected to launch in three color options — Xiaoyao Green, Roaming Gray, and Dark Black.
Coming to the OPPO Reno 8, the phone will feature a 6.62-inch Full HD+ E4 OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. It will pack a 4,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. This one will be available in three colors — Slightly Drunk, Encounter Blue, and Night Tour Black.
The Reno 8 SE will have a 6.43-inch Full HD+ OLED display but have 90Hz refresh rate support. It is said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC and comes powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. It will be offered in three colors — Slightly Drunk, Clear Sky Blue, and Night Tour Black.
All three smartphones are expected to have a triple-camera setup on the back panel and a 32-megapixel front-facing snapper. The device will come running the Android 12 operating system with the company’s own ColorOS custom user interface on top.
