vivo unveiled the Y21T earlier this month which is a rebranded Y21s with a different chipset, and a few days later, it introduced the Y21T with a larger display, higher refresh rate, and less RAM in India. Now the company is further expanding its portfolio of Y Series smartphones with the Y33.
The vivo Y33T is actually a version of the Indian Y21T with more RAM (8GB + 4GB virtual), a higher-res selfie camera (16MP), and a 60Hz screen. The rest of the specs remain the same, meaning you get Snapdragon 680 SoC, 6.58″ FullHD+ LCD, Funtouch OS 12, and 128GB storage, expandable by up to 1TB via a microSD card.
vivo hasn’t mentioned the Android version on the Y33T, but we presume it’s running Android 11 like the Indian Y21T. Besides, the company is also promoting the vivo Y33T as India’s first Snapdragon 680-powered smartphone on its official Indian website, which isn’t correct.
The rear panel of the vivo Y33T sports a camera system consisting of 50MP primary, 2MP depth, and 2MP macro units.
The vivo Y33T features a side-mounted fingerprint reader and ships with a 5,000 mAh battery charged through a USB-C port at up to 18W. It has two color options – Mirror Black and Midday Dream.
The Y33T is priced at INR18,990 (QAR 930) and is already available for purchase through leading online and offline retailers in India.
